On March 27, 2024, Michelle Aikman assumed the position of Executive Director and Board Chair and Anna Flores de Remick assumed the role of Director of Finance and Registration. These changes mark an exciting new chapter for our organization as we continue to grow and serve our community with excellence.
Michelle Aikman: Executive Director and Board Chair
Michelle Aikman, who previously served as our Director of External Affairs, brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role as Executive Director and Board Chair. Michelle is deeply committed to the mission and vision of SMSS and has already demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities during her time with the organization. Her dedication, integrity, and vision will undoubtedly propel our organization forward as we support military spouses in STEM fields.
In her dual role, Michelle will oversee the strategic direction of SMSS, ensuring that we continue to provide valuable resources, advocacy, and support to military spouses pursuing careers in STEM. Her leadership will be instrumental in guiding our organization through its next phase of growth and impact.
Anna Flores de Remick: Director of Finance and Registration
Anna Flores de Remick, previously our Director of Operations, will now serve as our Director of Finance and Registration. Anna brings a wealth of financial expertise and operational acumen to this critical role. Her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of SMSS, as well as maintaining registration.
Anna’s dedication to excellence and her unwavering commitment to our mission make her the ideal candidate to lead our financial initiatives. We are confident that under her guidance, SMSS will continue to thrive and expand its reach to better serve our community.
