SMSS members will soon get to connect with each other, access curated resources, interact with partners and recruiters on a STEM-specific job board, and participate in member-only discussion and events all within a new member portal. The closed membership site is set to launch in February 2020.
All SMSS members will be added to the portal and new membership applications will be processed through the portal software making the membership application experience faster and more seamless. Members will also be able to modify their profiles so they can keep their contact information up to date in real time.
With this launch, a new membership option is available to corporate employees who support SMSS and military spouses in STEM. We invite interested companies to register for a Corporate Member Account which includes three separate logins for key members of your talent and recruiting team. There will be a 30-day free trial available for this new membership type so company representatives can check out the corporate member portal experience before making a final decision to join.
As another step forward, as early as March 2020, SMSS will close the closed social media groups to consolidate all of the member experiences into a single location with the new portal. This change will allow all members to access the same benefits regardless of their involvement on any given social media platform.
This is an exciting step for SMSS as it is directly in line with the organization’s mission. We look forward to connecting with our members, corporate members, and partners in the portal!
